Virginia DWR’s inaugural fall Free Fishing Days are next weekend.
During these three days, Sept. 25-27, no fishing licenses will be required for recreational rod and reel fishing in both fresh and saltwater. Also during that time, facilities use permits will not be required.
All fishing regulations including size, season, catch limits, and gear restrictions will remain in effect. DWR fee fishing areas still require a fee for Free Fishing Days weekend.
