Global best-selling author David Baldacci will be at the Buchanan County Public Library on Thursday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
He’s the featured guest for the library’s Lee Smith Speakers Series and will be discussing his book, “A Calamity of Souls,” which was selected as the library’s 2026 Community Read.
“It is an honor for our library to host an author of David’s stature,” said Teresa Matney. “Thanks to the Friends of the Library, we have distributed more than 200 copies of the community read selection so that readers can be more engaged in the discussion. I’m so grateful for him to visit our library and spend time with his readers.”
The library will be running free bus service from the lower level of the Walmart parking garage to the library beginning at 4:30. Those riding the bus will be entered into a drawing for a Baldacci book bundle.
Baldacci will be signing copies of his books following his remarks. The library will have a limited number of books for sale on the night of the event and those attending are also welcomed to bring copies of Baldacci’s books to be signed.
